pop pop factory is Malaysia’s premier boutique music and artist factory. Before transforming into a full-fledged Coporate Music Entertainment “mini” empire in 2017 with a wide pool of talented artists, it is also the trailblazer in Malaysia’s Audiophile Music (Recordings for Hi-Fi Enthusiasts) as well as the major force of Chinese Jazz & “Retro Revival” movement in this region. Boasting 17 best-selling audiophile albums and a stellar cast of musicians such as Tay Cher Siang and Roger Wang, pop pop has organized many successful concerts and showcases over the past 10 years. pop pop is also the program curator for local Jazz livehouses such as Imaginarium and Souliquid. Artistes who are groomed and nurtured by pop pop over the past 10 years include renowned songstresses Winnie Ho (2008, of 2V1G fame), May Mow (2013), ZYan (2010) and Celist Chow (2016),  Yuii Chan (2018) and now Megan Hen (2023), all beauties with voices.

The ingredients of a great performance

1. Great artists with voices who know how to entertain and interact with the audience. Showmanship is everything. Our artists are groomed to be top-notch stage performers/entertainers and not just “boring” singers. They would NEVER, EVER read from iPad. Only Bona Fide professionals memorize lyrics so that they can move freely on stage and sing with emotions without having a music stand infront of them as an eye sore.

In additional to that, our videos are shot by professionals with good audio quality. Only with great videos, it can do justice to the artists’ beautiful voices and gorgeous looks . In short we present a top-notch profile worthy of even international clients’ demands.

2. Great looks with poise and elegance. One cannot deny audience are “visual” animals and not just “aural” listeners. Good singers with great looks just complete the package and appeal to all and sundry.

3. Recording artists with album(s) have added mileage because they have a proper “name card” especially if the album(s) are good-selling and well-acclaimed. pop pop factory is about the only surviving independent music label in 2024 in Malaysia with international market penetration.

4. Artists who go through continuous training with renowned coaches in vocals, stage performance, speaking skills, posture and choreography, dancing etc. etc. Our performances aspire to match up with international standards.

5. pop pop has a resident Music Director (MD), Wilson Quah, who is a renowned maestro and a Berklee Music graduate with 40 years of experience playing in many parts of the world. In addition, we have two more deputy MDs assisting Wilson Quah.
